Advent Calendar 2023

The Advent Calendar continues with another American singer who's maybe not so well-remembered today. Mindy Carson was born in 1927, her career started in the 1940s and it appear she's still with us.

Christmas Chopsticks, released by Carson in 1951, was written by one Fred Heider, whose main claim to fame seems to be this song and There's A Train Out For Dreamland, recorded by Nat King Cole and many others. The Christmas song sounds like a hit, but it seems it never really was. Well, I'm happy to dredge it up from obscurity, if maybe only for one day.
