My second ABBA book was my first book in Swedish about the group.
It was later translated into Russian (see the link under "More info").

In
the autumn of 1996, a Swedish, reworked version of my 1994 book ABBA - The Complete
Recording Sessions was published by the publisher Tiden under the title ABBA -
Människorna och musiken ("ABBA - The People And The Music").
Basically, I had realised, much to my own naïve amazement, that many
readers were put off by the diary format and all the detailed information in the
first book. I thought that was a pity. I wanted to reach a wider audience, wanted
people to read what I had found out: the stories and the anecdotes from the ABBA
members themselves, all the interesting facts. So I jumbled the paragraphs
around, removed the diary format and tried to make it a more straightforward read.
I also added a couple of pages about Kristina från Duvemåla (which
had recently opened), some biographical details, plus some other facts and observations.
Also added for this new book was a chronology and discography at the back of the
book, which I felt would be an easy way to access certain important dates in ABBA's
career. Whereas ABBA - The Complete Recording Sessions was packed with pictures,
there were only 18 b/w pictures in ABBA - Människorna och musiken: some of
the pictures are quite common, some rare, and one or two previously unpublished.
A Russian version of this book was published in 2001 (see link to the right).
