ABBA - The Movie

ABBA - The Movie was mainly filmed during ABBA's spectacular tour of Australia in March 1977. Ostensibly a concert film, it also featured a plot about a radio disc-jockey who has the impossible task of securing an interview with the group. The movie, which was directed by Lasse Hallström, received its world premiere in December 1977.

ABBA - The Movie was released on DVD in 2005, featuring bonus material in the shape of an interview with Björn, Benny and Lasse Hallström (conducted by me);
a memorabilia gallery; a gallery of the original tour programme; an original theatrical trailer for ABBA - The Movie; as well as two original commercials for ABBA - The Album (which was originally released in conjunction with ABBA - The Movie). I also contributed an essay about the making of the movie for the booklet.

Towards the end of 2007, ABBA - The Movie was also released in the blu-ray format.
