ABBAMAIL's Graeme Read reflects on Bright
Lights Dark Shadows
Australian Graeme Read has been an ABBA fan since
1974, when the group achieved their breakthrough with Waterloo. Between
1976 and 1983 he was the President of the Australian ABBA Fan Club.
Since 1997 he has been running the mailing
list ABBAMAIL. On its website, he publishes a regular column entitled
At My Desk. Around the time of the original publication of Bright
Lights Dark Shadows - The Real Story Of ABBA, two of these columns
were devoted to the book. Both of Graeme's reflections offer an interesting
perspective on a long-term ABBA fan's view of the book.
