Update, May 6, 2008: Ordering links for the book have now been added. You may send an e-mail to this site to register your interest in buying a signed copy directly from the author (please note that this doesn't mean that you have committed to buying such a copy). As yet I don't know the price for signed copies, but will post the information as soon as I have it.

Back in 2001, when my English-language ABBA biography, Bright Lights Dark Shadows, was published, there was hope that it would be published in several different languages. For various reasons, except for German and Russian, this never happened. I found it especially annoying that we couldn't get the book published in Sweden - after all, its ABBA's home-country as well as my own. That thought simply wouldn't leave me alone.
Therefore,
I'm very happy to announce the upcoming publication of my brand new ABBA biography, entitled ABBA - The Story: Sanningen om supergruppen (The Truth About The Super Group). This new book tells the story of ABBA again, but now in Swedish. I have gone back to the drawing board, as it were, and written a completely new biography.
Of course, the story is what it is, so ABBA - The Story shares some traits with Bright Lights Dark Shadows. But most people in Sweden are not interested in reading 550-page books in English, so therefore the contents will be completley new to them. Also, the events of the 21st Century are covered in some detail in the book, which of course was not the case with Bright Lights Dark Shadows. Furthermore, new information that has come to light about the ABBA years has informed the Swedish book.
Also, in order to make this new biography an easier read, I have cut down the story a bit - especially as regards the pre-ABBA days - so that the reader will reach the actual "ABBA years" a little quicker.
There will be around 50 colour and black & white pictures throughout the book.
I am delighted to announce that ABBA - The Story will also be published in Denmark and Norway in the autumn of 2008.
I will add Swedish-language information about the book iat a later date.
